February 11th, 2023 – Our Regional Regeneration Meeting

Greetings Friends of the NM-ERA!

We hope that 2023 is starting well for you. We are busy celebrating our first year as an organization, planning the year ahead, and writing grants.

A brief recap of 2022 with the Northern Mendocino Ecosystem Recovery Alliance:

We founded the NM-ERA (read more here).

We hosted a series of educational and outreach events (read more here).

We supported the formation of a forest health hand crew (read more here).

We received a Rose Foundation Grant, and with this support we will be offering more opportunities to gather and learn together to better tend to the forests and our forest community.

In late December we received our official 501(c)(3) status as a non-profit organization. This means we can handle our own finances and continue to expand our capacity to seek, get, and administer grants to help our forests and communities.

Our Next Event

Saturday February 11th –  Regional Regeneration Open Meeting – Vision and Strategy

12pm-4pm
A hot lunch served at 12:00 pm
Presentations and discussions from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Hosted at Burkey Hall in Leggett, an open meeting of the NM-ERA and interested citizens, to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of coming together as a group and explore where we go from here.

How do we take regenerative steps forward to improve the educational, ecological and economic resilience of our region?

We hope to welcome new members and revitalize our committees (Grants, Education, Outreach and Workforce) for the work ahead. It is our hope that this event supports visioning, planning, action, and celebration/reflection.
