The Northern Mendocino Ecosystem Recovery Alliance fosters fire resilience and responsible land care by employing local workers to restore our forests, grasslands, and economy. Our Community Firewood Bank ensures no one goes cold while promoting sustainable forest management and wildfire prevention.

Ways to Get Involved

Firewood Bank Operations
Help process, split, stack, and deliver firewood to community members. Learn chainsaw safety, log splitting techniques, and proper wood seasoning.

Forest Health Projects
Participate in fuels reduction, prescribed fire preparation, native plant restoration, and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) practices at Tan Oak Park and beyond.

Site Maintenance & Building
Support our training center development, natural building workshops, and facility upkeep. Skills in construction, landscaping, and infrastructure welcome.

Community Education & Outreach
Help organize workshops, lead community events, create educational materials, or support grant writing and administrative tasks.
