Forest Health Extravaganza March 29 & 30

We’re co-sponsoring this packed event with the Eel River Recovery Project and many other groups shown below. On Saturday March 29, 2025 at Harwood Hall in Laytonville, we’ll host an all-day gathering featuring speakers, panels, lightning talks, a poster session, and plenty of time for questions and networking discussing all aspects of forest health, fire resilience, and community building.  Come talk with your neighbors, local fire officials, community organizers, agency representatives, prescribed fire and cutlural fire experts. Find out what you can do to keep your property and neighborhood safe and how to get financial help to get the work done.

Oh yeah, free coffee and bagels in the morning, a free lunch at noon, and a free dinner in the evening.

On Sunday we’ll go out to a site on the Tenmile Creek Forest Health Grant Project area north of Laytonville and show what we’ve been doing. If weather permits, we will burn piles that you can help with or just observe. Also the Biochar Coalition will do a biochar making demonstration in a Ring-of-Fire kiln.

We hope you’ll join us for one or both days.
